Looking for Recommended Courses in LAWs and ETHNICS
Hi everyone,
I recently received my NCARB/NAAB EESA evaluation results, and I still need:
2 credits in Professional Practice
1 credit in Laws & Regulations (U.S.-focused)
1 credit in Ethics & Professional Conduct (U.S.-focused)
I’ve been searching online for suitable courses, but I haven’t had much luck so far. Professional Practice courses seem relatively easy to find, but I’m having a hard time finding courses specifically focused on U.S. laws/regulations or ethics that would satisfy the deficiency requirements.
I’m based on the East Coast, so asynchronous online courses or East Coast–friendly schedules would be ideal.
If anyone has recommendations for schools or specific courses that worked for them, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi ZhaolinCui,
That's a fairly common fo EESA result - if you search "Ethics" in this forum you'll see several threads that may be worth your time to read - here's one where someone listed some specific courses they took:

Best,

A quick update:
I reached out to ASU Online, BAC Continuing Education, AAU, SIU, and ended up with BAC, the continuing education team suggested 4 courses for me:
TSM3044 - Practice Management | Credits 1.00
TSM3045 - Project Management | Credits 1.00
TSM3046 - Construction and Evaluation | Credits 1.00
TSM2019 Human Factors, Programming and Codes | 3 Credits
These four courses all got pre-approved by NCARB for my deficiencies, which includes professional practice, project management and professional ethics. (Notice that these pre-approva are done on a case-by-case basis so that doesn't mean they are for everyone) The tuition fee is rather reasonable, 660$ per credit and the courses are delivered online asynchronously, which is convinient for people who have a full time job like me.
I havn't taken any of the courses now, they typically start on fall and spring semesters, so I don't have any information on the quality of the courses.
There are also other institutions providing similar options like UCLA Extension, but i did not reach out for their syllabus or submit pre-approval requests on that.
I hope these information are helpful if you have similar deficiencies like me.
Thank you Ralph, although I didn't see your message earlier.
And Patricia, here's my email if you still need to ask questions: toozarch@gmail.com
Best,
Zhaolin Cui
