    Congratulations on making it this far into your ARE journey tambikat! You are so close to the finish line :) 

    Most candidates take PPD first, as it is a great segue from the previous division(s) into PDD. Think of it like a real-life architectural project that goes from schematic design (SD -- PPD) to design development/construction documentation (DD/CD -- PDD). You're going from big ideas and selections to a refined design and details. 

    However, every candidate's journey is unique and you should follow the path that works best for you. Where do you have more practical experience? Which division's content do you feel more comfortable with? 

    Ultimately, PPD and PDD are interrelated and have a ton of overlap. Don't spread the exams too far out from each other, as you'll see that studying for one gives you a great amount of knowledge for the other.

    PPD has more overlap with PA which is why it's typically taken before PDD. PDD typically last.
