ARE PDD Retake Tips

I’m a recent grad (May) with about 2 years of experience (interned throughout school).

So far, I’ve passed:

• PA: 9/20/25

• PcM: 10/11/25

• CE: 10/18/25

• PjM: 10/24/25

• PPD: 1/2/26 (passed on second attempt)

I failed PDD my first attempt with a 514 cut score. Any Insight on what I should be studying as I prep for my retake in a few weeks? I seemed to really only struggle with section 1 if that helps at all!

  Take detailed notes in your own words and redraw the diagrams so they are fully integrated into your notes. Create your own flashcards from scratch. I used Quizlet. Take as many quizzes and practice exams as possible. I completed approximately three to four practice exams before taking the AREs. PPD and PDD are content-heavy, so they typically require more preparation than other divisions. Focus on active-recall-based learning throughout your study process.
