Technical issues during exam and not able to finish it in the end
Hi everyone, I just had a total disaster of a PDD exam via PSI online on Dec 2 and I'm really stressing out. Has anyone else experienced something this bad?
What was supposed to be a standard exam turned into a 7-hour ordeal. The check-in process alone took an hour because the proctor was incredibly strict and made me repeat things over and over. Then, the technical issues started.
The worst part is that I specifically saved 1.5 hours for the Case Studies. But right when I got to that section, the system disconnected. I tried everything to reconnect—I sat in front of my camera for nearly an hour, and at one point I waited 30 minutes with zero response from the proctor. When I finally got a hold of someone, they disappeared again immediately. I never got to finish.
Because of the strict rules, I was not able to drink any water during this entire 7-hour period, even while I was just sitting there waiting for tech support. By the end of it, I was severely dehydrated and felt like I was going to faint. It was honestly a physically exhausting experience.
I've already filed a ticket with NCARB (Case #978550) and have a PSI Case (#POA32006).
My big worry is the 60-day retest policy. I know the rule about "viewing 75% of items," however opening the questions does not mean I really has the chance to view it or even go through it, especially for heavy loading case study. I literally couldn't finish the exam due to their technical failure. My score reflects an incomplete exam caused by a technical issue, which is unfair.
Has anyone successfully gotten a 60-day waiver and a seat credit for something like this? I really don't want to wait 2 months to retake this.
Thanks in advance.
