PDD Recommended Resources?
Hi, everyone! I’m preparing for my final exam and am starting to collect resources to study. Here is what I have so far as definite study materials:
-Ballast PDD chapters
-Architect’s Studio Companion (chapters 1-7)
-Architectural Graphics Standards (chapters unknown)
-building codes illustrated (whole book)
-building construction illustrated (whole book)
-fundamentals of building construction (whole book)
-heating, cooling, and lighting (whole book)
-MEEB (chapters 7-12, 19-21, 23-29, 32)
-FEMA (chapters 4-5)
Here are materials I’ve seen some people say helped and others said they didn’t:
-site planning and design handbook
-Sun, wind, and light
-plumbing, electricity, and acoustics
-building construction principles
-architectural acoustics
What have people found helpful and what could have been “skipped” during studying? I’m hoping to take my exam in about 5 months and starting to study now, but with the holidays in between I’m worried I will run out of time. This is 1000s of pages to read so I’m freaking out a bit already! Any help is greatly appreciated and what to thank everyone in advance! :)
