"Lot Size" Doesn't Include Setbacks?

I'm a bit frustrated and confused by the explanations for this question. For calculating "maximum impervious surfaces" and "maximum building area", I would usually multiply the TOTAL lot side of 100ft x 56ft, NOT 50ft, which is the width considering setbacks, not the actual property line.
Then in the calculations, right off the bat, they are counting Lot Size to be 5,000sf , not 5600sf.

Am I wrong thinking this should be based off the TOTAL lot size? When you're calculating FAR, you ignore setbacks and focus on the whole lot size. The true lot size is 5,600sf. Help!

The lot size is 50x 100 ....you are adding the 3' setback to the 50 that is not right .... the 3 foot is part of the first string of dimension 44 + 3 +3 = 50' (the complete lot size)...if you look carefully there is no dash in the 50' string dimension....
