    I had a similar issue.
I spoke to 2 different proctors during the exam, during check in and break. Both did not like my webcam.
It's a $50 amazon/Chinese camera, but its 1080 and has built in speakers and mic. It does just fine for zoom and such. But they didn't like it. They suggested I buy a new one for my future tests. :(

My lighting can't be adjusted though. I could offer using a desk lamp and offer to remove it after they've checked my ID to keep with the clean desk policy.

I had the same issue today and couldn't get through the process because the proctor couldn't verify my ID because of auto-focus. I'm having to repurchase a different camera and crossing my fingers that it works. I hate that this type of this is both trial and error and a gamble.

Just want to share same concerns... it is super stressful when I heard the proctor said your ID is too blurry... actually, I don’t think it is the webcam’s issue, but the prometric system. I asked them, their video port is only 3.5 by 5.5 inches. And most webcam need to keep a little bit distance like 5inches away to focus on texts, no face. Then you can image, it is super small image on the proctor side... I use exact same camera for two of my exams, but one exam with my passport with large font and another one with driver ID, smaller font (my passport expired...). You can imagine, larger font no problem at all. But small font, super frustrated....
