Remote Proctoring Complaint and Experience
NCARB,
I have a formal complaint for the online remote proctored exam I took last night.
Originally scheduled for 7:45PM (PST), my exam did not start until 8:15PM. There was nothing wrong with my internet and Prometric's website crashed multiple times. It started crash at the question 45 mark around an hour later. I was struggling, refreshing, and getting mentally exhausted trying to reconnected back to Prometric between 9:30PM and 11:00PM. I finally regained full service functionality around 11:15PM and finished by exam around 12:50AM.
This is not suitable for an individual like me who has to work the next day. At this point, I believe I have not done well because I lost 2 or more hours of my mental energy stressing to get back into the testing environment to finish my exam. I understand I can't ask to be tested on this fairly again, but PLEASE work out a deal with Prometric to have more accommodating TIMES available. Starting after 7:30PM on a work day is NOT SUITABLE. Weekends weren't even available when choosing slots! Maybe having U.S. based proctors might even help so that we can test during normal hours and not in the evenings where our mental energy is not at its highest point in the day!
This is a huge disappointment in my experience with the remote proctored exam as I anxiety is high enough because I am afraid to go into a testing center due to COVID.
Please fix this.
