Calculator in Exam
AnsweredHello ,
Does the calculator have new features now in this proctored version ? Are the memory functions new or it was there before? Could NCARB point me to a VDO that shows using the memory keys properly ?
Also can we copy ( contrl+ C ) and ( Contrl+ V ) from exam material to white board text ? I could do it in the demo exam . I just want to make sure it is allowed on the actual test.
Thank you

Hi Nasheet,
The ARE calculator has always had the ability to save values to memory. This is not something new with the launch of online proctoring. You can test out the memory functions on the calculator by launching the ARE Demonstration Exam from your NCARB Record. The calculator functionality within the demo matches what you will see on the actual exam. If you hover over the MC, MR, MS, and M+ buttons on the calculator, a description of each button will display.
And yes, you can copy item text and paste it to the whiteboard. However, this functionality only works with item text and will not work with images and case study resources.
Hope this helps!
