Testing Center Will Still be Open After Dec 14, Right?
I think many exam candidates don't understand that the exam will still be available in testing centers.
Many folks are not testing right now. Could you explain the situation with testing centers? My understanding is that testing centers will be continuously offering the exams, now and in the future.
I know I would never want a stranger viewing my house, and I my spaces are large open and my desks are cluttered, so remote proctoring would be a challenge for me, and I suspect many others as well.

Hey Rebekka,
The ARE will continue to be offered in-person at Prometric test centers as it is today. This is not changing on December 14th. Online proctoring is an option for those testers who want to take the exam from a location other than the test center.
Regardless of where you take the exam, it will be identical.

Rebekah,
I live in a small 4 room apartment with 2 kids and my wife all at home. I feel your pain, there is no way Id ever be able to take the exam from my home.
NCARB offers the suggestion of testing from your work office or a conference room. Maybe that would work for you.
I thought about testing at a coffee shop, but the test duration and the people going in and out would probably preclude that location.
In the end, I feel I could only test at the testing center. But I am agreeable to that, reducing the stress of preparing my home or the realm of unknowns for any other location. A testing center being specifically set up and having taken all my other exams, relatively familiar.
Good luck!
Mark, Archizam
