Passed PPD & PDD - same month
I recently passed PPD and PDD in the same month. I had passed PDD on my first try earlier this month, but I struggled with PPD prior to passing it earlier this week. Something I was surprised to learn was that studying for PDD definitely helped me prepare for PPD. I highly recommend taking them both closer together.
While reading the posts on this forum, I decided to purchase Elif Bayram's PDD mock exam bundle since I was overwhelmed with the reference material alone prior to taking that exam for the first time. I believe the questions were instrumental to me passing PDD since they were challenging, well thought out, with excellent links and references. It helped focus and guide my studying in a way that no other third party material had before, and at a very reasonable price. The interface is very user-friendly, and I appreciated the fact that they are simply questions, which makes this material very easy to digest.
Once I realized how much the quizzes helped me on that exam, I went ahead and purchased the exam bundle for PPD, and took it two weeks later and passed. She is working on an expanded mock exam bundle for PA that should be available in the near future.

Thanks! I would say this depends highly on where you are currently in your studying. I think if you have been studying already up to this point, then that will help you go through the questions quicker, because there will be some questions you already know and feel confident about, and others that you'll spend more time on. It took me a little longer to go through all the material simply because for each response, I would spend some time in the reference texts reading a little more about the topic of the response. However, since I purchased the questions early on in my studies, I had time to do this.
Since there are 12 quizzes comprised of 20 questions, you have time to do a quiz a day between now and your exam on Dec. 9th. Each quiz will take about 30-45 min. But to make the most of your studying, try to use the quizzes as a tool to identify your content weaknesses first, and then determine what you need to study from the primary reference material. The quiz format makes its easy to determine areas of weakness because once the quiz is graded, it will show how you score in each category of the exam.
Having recently taken these exams, I felt that Elif's questions were the most relevant to what NCARB is actually testing for, so I would really try to learn every concept associated with these questions to the best of your abilities!
Good Luck!
