Difference between G801 and G802?
G801, notice of Additional services and G802 Amendment to the professional Services Agreement are strikingly similar document. The one major diffference i see is that G801 gives the architect the option to notify the owner of additional services that are required to postpone delay in construction. But the other option is additional services that require the owners authorization to proceed, with fill ins for description of services and changes to contract sum and time. But this part is exactly what is on the G802 form. G802, from what I know, is used to add additional services and roles to the architect. But can’t g801 do that as well? Or is it that the notice is made with g801 then it becomes formalized into g802? (Similarish to Construction Change Directive and a Change Order)?

G801, Notice of Additional Services and G802, Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement, are similar documents, but they have differences:
G801 is for getting owner’s approval before additional service is performed, or to notify the owner of additional services that have to be done to avoid project delay.
G802 is adjust the owner and architect agreement, and may be used to request additional service approval, or to REDUCE the project scope and the fees, and also adjust schedule accordingly.
For additional services, in some situations, you may use either G801 or G802. If you are reducing the project scope and fees, then use G802.
