Unable to reschedule after online proctoring problems
I had two unsuccessful exam experiences in December and January when I tried to take exams using the online proctoring system. In both cases, the prometric software didn't recognize my external webcam, I faced long wait times trying to get to a proctor, the system timed out, I spent hours with Prometric's tech support people trying to access the settings in my computer and finally having spent hours on all of this, gave up in utter despair and frustration. I'm glad to see that others are posting about their experiences.
Having finally gotten my NCARB record reset and the ability to reschedule restored (even though I only have received a refund for one of my two seat credits), I'm facing another ridiculous problem.
NCARB shows my eligibility to take the two exams but the prometric website says that I'm ineligible when I try to sign up.
The level of coordination between NCARB and Prometric is a consistent problem. NCARB holds its exam candidates to a rolling clock but needs to recognize that candidates lose valuable time when its own systems don't hold up. How long will it be before we have a working website and testing system?

Hi Kaveri,
We recommend that you reach out to NCARB Customer Service for support. Also, prior to taking an online proctored exam, we recommend that all candidates take a free test run to ensure they have the proper technology setup to take the exam. You can read more about the test run resource here.
