Don't let a successful first test fool you.
Going into my second exam division (PjM) I had pretty high hopes, given that my first exam just a month earlier (PcM) was successfully run (and passed) on the exact same home setup. I I knew the process: disabled firewalls and virus protection, disconnected various peripherals, checked internet speed (ethernet), did the pre-check, and started 30 min early.
Nope. This time around I was booted out more than a dozen times at various points of the checkin (with an error message asking me to check my internet and power - which were fine), and I never got to actually talk with a proctor. Despite having a prometric tech try to troubleshoot some things via remote desktop, I called it quits at the three hour mark and am now awaiting a response from NCARB.
Don't let em fool you once.

I had a similarly awful online test experience. Did NCARB ever resolve it for you?
I'm still having to fight to get mine resolved... I eventually got a seat credit, but there's still a big fat "fail" next to my first "attempt" (which, same thing as you - I got booted repeatedly, was not able to take the test). I've only gotten action by repeatedly calling NCARB's office. They don't seem to reply to emails, and even when I speak to someone at the office, half the time they don't follow up or do anything.
