Hi, guys, I have some questions about below paragraphs. What's line-voltage switching? Why the highlighted advantages are of low-voltage switching but not of line-voltage switching? I cannot see the relationship of these advantages with just low-voltage switching.  I hope some one can kindly answer my questions. Many thanks in advance.

  Hello,

  I had the same question before. I am still learning and here is what I found out. Please correct me if I am wrong.

  I think an easy answer is that low-voltage systems are mainly for smart home controls: AC control, lighting levels, pool/spa temperature. These features are accessed through a computer station in LV dedicated room or by app. All wiring goes into the main computer because the software controls appliances or light switching on/off.

  A Citizen hotel in New York could be an example.
