    Hey Thomas,

Diagrams, photos, drawings, and other graphics on the ARE might contain color, but a question will never require you to identify a specific color to answer a question correctly.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you, Michael, but I will let NCARB let me know that. Seeing as they did respond, it appears to have been a legitimate question. I was not asking about what was on the exam, I was giving an example from the study material.

Thomas - no I do not believe you will encounter anything like this on the exam, and I'm trying to remember if ANY of the questions I had on the ARE involved colors and I 90% recall it all being black and white.  Even questions that involved photographs, I think I remember those being black and white too.  Been a while since I tested.  Maybe NCARB can chime in here, it's a good question.

I agree with David. All of the details and plans that I saw were black and white. No questions involved matching colors and line weights.

    Hi Thomas,

It was our mistake in including this question on our exam. It was recently removed during one of our routine quality assurance processes. Good luck in the rest of your studies!

I would like to discourage you from asking people what types of questions are on the exams, especially around content. This is a private question for NCARB. There is no reason for anyone to disclose anything about the questions they've ever seen on an exam, under any circumstance.

Yes, but you just opened the door wide open for someone to start disclosing exam content. I'd just hate to see you and someone else get in trouble. Your welcome!
