DON'T TAKE THE ONLINE PROCTORING EXAMAnswered
1. 1 AM Online Proctoring Exam scheduled with the laptop setup that NCARB recommended - "If you wish to use a single external monitor configuration with your laptop, connect a computer monitor cable directly from your external monitor to your laptop and close the laptop screen". But after I met my first readiness agent, she told me that this setup is NOT working - I have to remove the external monitor, and use my laptop ONLY.
2. Waited one hour for the proctor after removing my external monitor and re-launched exam.
3. NUMEROUS technical errors happened, and I got kicked out by the ProProctor - FOUR times after I entered exams, and multiple times when I tried to launch the exam. The FOUR times errors after I entered were - one time during the exam, two time while checking with agents, and one time waiting for the agent.
4. It was 4 AM EST time after all this happened, and I decided not to continue to take this with exhaustion.
We do apologize that you had this experience with the Prometric readiness agent. The agent was incorrect, you are allowed to use an external monitor connected to a closed laptop. We will be addressing this issue directly with Prometric.
Regarding the ProProctor connectivity issues, ensure you have a stable internet connection throughout your appointment, preferably through an ethernet cable. Any break in your internet connection or instability, even for a short period of time, will result in a lost connection with the ProProctor software.
