using earlier editions

I have a couple of ppd and pdd reference books that are earlier editions ,would it still be good to use or do I need the exact edition listed in the are handbook?. Thanks

  Depends on the book, but for the most part you are fine with an older edition. most of the time its books adding sustainability information into the newer editions.
