Received my second fail today. I've been following these posts while taking my exams; usually they are super helpful. Being mostly in residential design, the focus on commercial work puts me out of my element with codes and regulations. Both attempts were finished with confidence, but alas. I've found PA to be particularly difficult regardless of the various books and programs I've been using (Ballast, Designerhacks, Site Design book, Problem Seeking). Even though I had a good bit of overlap from my first exam question wise, I wonder if I have some fundamental misconceptions that push me toward answers I truly think are correct, but obviously are not. The case studies in particular are killer on this exam. I'm considering giving Amber book a try just to see if it helps. Its more expensive than I prefer, but its cheaper than having to pay to retake these exams forever, and even cheaper if we get a group together.
If you are tired of repeating exams, join me in a group via the googledocs link I found on another post in the Community:
Happy testing! We can do this!
