I am aware that the new online ARE system will launch on December 14, 2020, but want to know what is the anticipated availability of testing dates and the demand for those dates. I want to study for specific exams now, but it depends on whether I can anticipate getting an exam appointment in late December or whether the queue might fill up so quickly on December 14th given the demand that the earliest test dates would be in January, February, or March (or later) etc. Will there be thousands of people vying for a limited number of December exam dates? Will NCARB have thousands of online ARE exam availabilities in December, or only a handful? Will there even be December exam dates, or is December the first time that we can sign up for exam dates that might be mid-2021?
In addition, I currently have an in-person exam scheduled through Prometric in January that I would like to "reschedule" to an online ARE exam when the system launches in December. Will there be a special button online that will allow me to switch my in-person Prometric exam appointment to a new online exam appointment? (I ask because I worry that I will only be able to reschedule my Prometric in-person appointment to another Prometric in-person exam date with the current button)
Thank you for your help
