Accessible parking count - rounding up or down?
Hi there,
Can anyone help me with accessible parking calculation?
If there are 1120 parking spaces, according to IBC I would need 20 plus 1 plus 0.2 (21.2 spaces). Does this mean I need 21 accessible spaces or 22? At what point can you round down or up?
I just completed Erik Walker's practice exam and one of the questions was similar (Q81 - loading dock calculation), He rounded down to get answer. It says 3.4 loading spaces, ROUNDED DOWN to 3 total loading spaces.
I always round up the parking count....so am a bit confused now. If anyone could help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
