Additional vs Supplemental Services
I'm studying for my PcM exam next month. In B101- 2017 there are additional and supplemental services. In one of the Schiff Hardin videos on contracts it was explained that Supplemental are services upfront that the client needs and additional is during the design process and CA that comes along the way. B101- 2017 states the architect deems necessary additional services. There seems to be some overlap.. Can someone please explain the clear difference?
Second, on the BS practice exam they mentioned "general services". I assumed that meant basic services and got this question wrong. Is there a difference between general services and basic services?

Supplemental services are the beyond-basic services that are included in the original B101 contract between Owner and Architect. Like you said - they are agreed upon upfront (often requested by the Owner) in the B101 contract.
Additional services are services that need to be added after the B101 contract has been signed.
Neither supplemental or additional services are "basic services." But what distinguishes supplemental from additional is the time at which they are agreed upon.
