'Teaming agreement', ' Alliance' and 'Joint Venture agreement'?
Hi ARE community,
One quick question, I am wondering the difference between 'teaming', 'joint venture' and 'strategic Alliance'. Are those three all mean forming a alliance before bidding the project?
Thanks!

Hey Wenqi,
My understanding is that a teaming agreement is an agreement between parties who intend to form a joint venture if they are awarded a project. This happens during the proposal/competition stage. If the parties holding a teaming agreement end up actually getting the project, the agreement materialize into a joint venture.
Judging from some Ballast test problem explanations I encountered, I have been guessing that an alliance and an IPD multiparty agreement are basically equivalent, though I am horribly unsure of this myself (at least in the context of the test problem I took). Hopefully someone else with a better understanding on this subject could shed some light on it.
