Help! Prometric cancelled my test less than 24hrs before my appointment!
I'm supposed to take PDD tomorrow morning at 8AM [after taking PPD today with a "likely to pass"! yay! 1st test done!]
I paused reviewing tonight long enough to check my email and saw one from Prometric saying "We are sorry to inform that your scheduled testing appointment will be cancelled. Please do not go to the testing center."
WHAAAT?!
Granted, the email arrived earlier this afternoon [1PM], but that's still LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE!
I'm so mad/sad/confused/disappointed.
It says they'll reach out to me within 5-7 business days with the next course of action, but I don't know how long I'll have to wait to get another Saturday slot [as I prefer not to take off work]. It feels very unfair and unprofessional. I would understand if it were due to COVID shutdowns, but my testing center still appears "open at full capacity" on Prometric's website.
I will call Prometric on Monday morning, but
WHAT CAN I DO to reschedule ASAP?

Hey Jana,
We reached out to Prometric about the test center closure that you are referencing in your post. The Prometric site was closed because of protests taking place in the neighborhood. Typically, Prometric will inform testers about a closure at least 14-days in advance, but in situations like protests, COVID-19 exposures, fires, or inclement weather, that notice can be much shorter. We have asked Prometric to include an explanation in future cancellation emails so testers are informed on why their exams were impacted.
If Prometric does not reach out to you in the next few days, please contact NCARB Customer Service, and we can help you reschedule your exam.
