New cool study resource for PPD and PDD!
Hello ARE candindates community,
I took and passed PDD yesterday and am now officially done with the AREs!
It wasn't my first time sitting for the PDD exam, but it was my last and so before I forget and go enjoy the rest of the summer I wanted to share about the a study resource that was super useful in helping me prepare: Elif's questions https://arequestions.com/
What I particularly liked about this study resource is the combination of challenging questions with references to chapters in MEEB, Olin's Construction, Architect's Companion Handbook, Architecture Graphics Standards, the IBC, Building Construction: Principles, Materials, and Systems. This approach to learning was particularly helpful for me because rather then memorizing the right answers I focused on learning underlying concpets by studying across the different books. For example, when I studied about different types of Joints in Construction I would go over the respective chapters in Olin's, AGC, and Builidng Construction and then I had practice questions to test my understanding of the topic.
Elif's questions is a relatively new resource that came out of a grass-roots effort and not a whole lot of people in the testing community are aware of it. She is planning on hosting a number of webinars in the coming weeks to raise awareness so if you are studying for PPD/PDD, I highly recommend considering to attend: https://arequestions.com/webinar/

YES!
I love Elif's questions. I have personally reviewed them myself and think this is a fantastic and affordable ARE 5.0 product.
Elif took the ARE Boot Camp and using the practice questions she has created has been very helpful to many many people in the ARE Boot Camp Program for the PPD/PDD Exams.
