A little background, I have 2 years of experience at a design firm, without much construction experience. I was able to pass PCM and PJM both on my first try. I moved to CE third based on all the recommendations to get the pro-practice exams done together. I do not have trouble with the questions on A201, B101, bidding, and Construction Admin process. However, I found CE much different from PCM and PJM. The range of Construction Observation questions covers so many topics that seem related to PA, PPD, and PDD. I try to study these topics that people mention in the community to be on this exam such as waterproofing, excavation, life safety, wall sections, but I just can't seem to get deep enough to pass. There were so many more construction topics than just those as well. I had a lot of trouble sifting through the documents on the case studies and ran very low on time. I keep getting the feeling that I should take these exams in the recommended NCARB order, but I also already studied a lot of valuable information for this exam. Should I try to take CE a third time or switch to PA? Did anyone take CE last rather than grouped with PCM and PJM? What was your experience? Thank you.
