Rescheduling Fee
AnsweredHello,
Has there been any changes to the fees charged for rescheduling ? I don't see any changes online due to COVID but I heard otherwise.
Thank you!!

Hey Nr,
I can help! Prometric has begun communicating that they are reinstating rescheduling fees beginning August 1, 2020. However, NCARB continues to waive ARE rescheduling fees indefinitely until further notice. Regardless of Prometric’s decision, NCARB will not charge candidates a fee to reschedule an existing appointment.

Hey Nasheet,
In this situation, the Prometric scheduler will block you from rescheduling since you are so close to your test day. To avoid this, reschedule an exam at least 4 business days out from your test day. If you are within the 4-day window, call NCARB Customer Service and they can help.

Nick,
It's said that "...NCARB will not charge rescheduling fee for an existing appointment...".
Does it mean that if I schedule an appointment now, I then can reschedule it several times for free at my convenience?
How does it work, or where can I find the exact regulations on that during COVID?
Thank you,
-
Hey Artem,
That is correct. If you do plan to schedule an exam and then reschedule, try to reschedule at least 4 business days out from your appointment. If you are inside of 4 business days, the Prometric scheduler will block you from rescheduling and you will need to contact NCARB directly. Page 14 of the ARE Guidelines has been updated to reflect free rescheduling - https://www.ncarb.org/sites/default/files/ARE-5-Guidelines.pdf.
