Can you provide input on the following:
Electrical Wiring Service:
120/240V: residences and small buildings
120/208 V: buildings (typically up to 40,000 sq.ft.)
277/480 V: Larger buildings (typically predominantly 277V Flourescent lighting)
2400/4160 V: Very large commercial buildings and factories with heavy machinery
This is straightforward. However, when searching through questions, they ask that you select the best application for the following given only this information:
10 story building (no function or size specified) (also 277/480 because of the predominance of fluorescent lighting?)
Large high school (277/480V presuming that it runs largely on fluorescent)
I am attempting to use the logic that we should focus only on the information given. Since no size is specified, I have defaulted to type of lighting when choosing the voltage.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
