This is GREAT news. I also saw that the State Bar of California Exam will be offered to take from home. How long will it take for NCARB to realize remote testing and proctoring is in our immediate future? Action needs to be taken NOW! Testing candidates are losing time and money that they can be spending as licensed architects.

Edited to add: If home proctoring or testing is not seen as a feasible option for the ARE, maybe it's time to reconsider using Prometric as the testing provider and find a new facility to allow more candidates to test in a safe and secure environment? The inconsistency of Prometric's scheduling and not being selected as one of the 50% of candidates to test is discouraging to test takers. I commend all testing candidates for persevering through these uncertain times, and I hope that a solution is made for them soon.

Can someone at NCARB let us know if NCARB will do this? How soon can it be implemented?

The LEED Green Associate and LEED AP exams are also handled by Prometric, so technically I think it is feasible.
