ADA & IBC - Clearance Memorization Needed
Hi,
I've been studying and I just wanted to get some opinions on the need for memorizing ADA *& IBC clearances for bathrooms, approaches, doors, etc.. I would assume I need to have working knowledge but should I have everything memorized. The reason why I ask is because I typically do both Ballast and Pluralsight prep for my notes. Ballast didn't mentioned much on this at all and yet pluralsight has multiple chapters on this and seems pretty detailed and persistent about having all the diagrams memorizes. Seems odd that one is focusing so heavily and the other is not?
Any assistance is appreciated.

No need to force yourself to memorize them, just look through the diagrams a few times and become familiar with them should be adequate.

It will help you to memorize general guidelines for ramps - clear width, max rise/run and other basic ADA requirements like standard door clear openings, standard mounting heights for grabbars and elev buttons, etc.
Which exam are you studying for? Some ADA info is in Ballast, though it may not be in the section you’re studying.
