PJM Pass - 2nd Try – ARE 5.0 Community

I just finished up PJM this afternoon for the second time with a provisional pass.

My first attempt I only studied for about 1 week following up on my PCM , CE passes. This time around I read up on the contracts and recommended AHPP sections for about 4 weeks before the test.I also used some practice tests by PPI2pass and Designerhacks the week prior.

I changed my testing strategy this time as well and went straight to the case studies and worked on them for about an hour before going back to the MC questions. I was able to finish about 18 of the 22 in an hour.

Some of the questions seemed to have extra information in them that was not needed to solve the problem. I noticed this more on this exam than on the other exams I have taken, but it is probably the case with all exams.

As noted by many on this forum, AHPP and contracts were my main study tools for this exam.

3 down 3 to go, I am finally halfway!

On to PA!

Did you feel like pcm and pjm were very similar? I took pjm, but didn't pass. I am studying for pcm while I wait for a retake. I am hoping the pcm study material will fill me in on the missing gaps for the retake.

There was some overlap, but the test focus was different.

Did you skip the calculations for later? Or answer them along the way?

Hi Kristen,
I skipped some of the questions that had more involved calculations and came back to them at the end, including a few case studies. The questions with more direct calculations i did as i went along.
Basically any questions with calculations that seemed really involved, i just flagged and came back to.
