2000 or 2080 Hours Per Year

    Hi Hannah, I haven't ever heard of using 2000 hours per year. Even in my professional practice course in college I've only heard 2080.

    Scott, it makes sense to me to use 2080 but, amber book and younger architect use 2000 and I wanted to know if anyone knew why they used this.

    My understanding is that you can use either. As long as it is in the ball park. NCARB is testing for competency so 2000 to 2080 is close. If you use 3000 that's another story.
