PA Fail - Soil Remediation and Existing Building Evaluation
This fail was a bummer because after completing the test I really thought I had it. I could not have prepared more with the resources I had available (which were a good amount!)
After flipping through the NCARB Handbook again I think two areas I maybe did not have a lot of practice with was detailed soil analysis and how to evaluate existing buildings. I had an uncomfortable number of questions related to both. Id appreciate any suggestions on getting more familiar with how to remediate brownfields, what non-standard soil conditions mean, and how to evaluate an existing project beyond the basic list of assessments of structure, environment, etc.

Hey, these might be helpful:
https://www.go-gba.org/resources/green-building-methods/brownfield-remediation/
Ballast: chapters 9 and 21
Site Planning and Design: chapters 3, 7, 8 and appendix A. If you have time read the whole book and focus on the main concepts about soils and remediation.
