Sun Angles

Hi guys, I am wondering if anyone could recommend any resources explaining sun angles. I seem to have a hard time understanding how sun angles relate to cardinal directions, altitudes, latitudes, seasons, and time. (Eg what does sun angle 30 degrees north mean?) I am not sure if I am combining too many concepts together. thank you!

  Sounds like you are referring to azimuth.
