Just want to confirm:  is it necessary to study 2015 version rather than 2012 version of Building Codes Illustrated (Ching), which I already purchased and have used for my 4.0 AREs thus far?  Any input appreciated.  Thanks.

    Short answer is, no.

Longer answer is that the content of the code between 2012 and 2015 is largely the same. However, and this especially applies to Chapter 5, the organizational layout of the sections may change between the two. What I am specifically thinking of is the Height, Area, and Stories portions of Ch 5. So long as you know the differences between 2012 and 2015 you should be fine.

Thanks Nathaniel.  I'll read Chapter 5 of 2015 online and then compare to 2012 Ching--great way to get the material into my head.  Excellent response.
