Private Profile/Activity?
Question for the NCARB folks:
Recently I noticed that my account had a "Private" icon on my profile, and when I go to anyone else's profile it says their activity is private as well. I used to share my profile with others to direct them to my posts for the different exams, and assumed they could find links to each of them there. Is this a relatively new change? I noticed it a few weeks ago but hadn't looked much recently so it could have happened a while before that.
It's not a big deal, but I'm surprised there isn't an option to change it so it isn't private. When I was studying for the exams I liked being able to go to a specific user's profile and see their posts and comments because they often had good advice. It's possible to search users names and find content that way, but I'm just curious about the change.
Thanks!

Scott,
We had a request from an ARE candidate to make profiles private. She was uncomfortable with other users being able to access her profile. At this time, there is no option to make select profiles public or private by request, so they are all now private. I will look into the possibility of having the profiles made private by request only. This would give you and others back the opportunity to access other candidates’ profiles.

Thanks for the quick reply, Joan! It's not critical, just something I was curious about. I did like the option to find a specific user's posts or comments when I was studying, but can understand the desire for privacy as well.
I appreciate the effort you and others put towards keeping this forum a constructive resource for test takers!
