Is Amber Book the way to go?

I have just started looking into ARE study materials and I am finding a ton on Amber Book. I am having a hard time swallowing the $220 fee per month (with all the discounts) . It used to be that you could just buy some study materials and flashcards and just have a one time cost.

Is it really worth the subscription fee?! 

Do they even make the books and flashcards anymore?

I have also see Black Spectacle and Young Architect Bootcamp. Thoughts on these?
