I recently became licensed after a very long time of trying. I started in 3.1 and passed many exams along the way of transitioning. Two exams kept me from obtaining my license sooner, and after a rolling clock, and starting again, I finally made a commitment to myself to get my license THIS YEAR in 2019. No more floundering around. SO, on Jan 1st, 2019, I started the ARE YOUNG ARCHITECT BOOTCAMP...
I wish that I had completed this program sooner. I cannot stress enough how grateful I am that I enrolled, put in the time, and was finished with my ARE's by May of 2019. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. Especially with a 1-year old, but it is THE BEST thing I have ever done, especially FOR my 1-year old. And myself.
I had no idea, studying on my own, how much time & work it would take to finally get across the finish line. Michael's excellent program gave me the path & process to get there. He showed me what (tons) of materials I needed to study and for how long, and gave me a team to hold me accountable who will forever be counted among my friends in this profession. We spent countless hours together, I put in over hundreds of hours of directed study time, we worked quizzes together, we discussed the WHY's.
YES, it's a $$ obligation that I thought for years I didn't need to spend. But after failing my last two exams one & two times, I decided it was worth paying for the program in order for me to try to not fail these expensive exams one more single time. I wasted SO MUCH MONEY failing tests, expiring tests, this awful process hanging over my head for nearly a decade, and I had run out of ideas on trying to get this done on my own. I didn't even know what to do next, as I began to just think I wasn't smart enough on my own to pass these crazy obscure AREs. It was definitely affecting my personal confidence.
With Michael's help, I figured out WHAT to study, how much, and BOOTCAMP literally provided the means for me to LEARN what I needed to in order to be the best Architect that I can be. Changed my life. I have never been more proud of myself than I am today. 5 months of INTENSE studying. 3am, 4am, 5am mornings, weekends, nights online with my team. IT IS WORTH IT... it can change your life. I am so grateful. I wasn't sure how I would ever get there. Thank you, Michael & Young Architect Bootcamp. I am just so, so grateful. I am a licensed architect. Things will never be the same for me.
