Building structures illustrated
I wonder if anyone uses this Book by Ching? Is it similar to building construction illustrated?

Yi,
It sort of depends on how you learn best, I think. All the Ching books do an excellent job of graphically showing you concepts, so if that is something that helps you learn and understand them, by all means. For me, I personally felt that Architect's Studio Companion covered structural systems very well, but, it doesn't get into the "engineering" aspects of structures (i.e. moment, shear, stresses, seismic, wind, etc.). For that I used an old Ballast book.
I'm not certain if Ching gets into the engineering aspects - if so it might be a good resource. I would say to you that you don't need ALL these resources.
