PDD Pass!
A couple weeks ago, I wrote about how I failed PPD and wondered if there was any hope for PDD. Well, I went on to pass PDD four days after failing PPD, so there is hope!
I won't lie, I felt pretty discouraged after that fail. I didn't really expect to pass PDD, but I figured I'd give it my best shot since I had devoted so much time and effort to studying for these exams. Four days of doing more sulking than studying paid off, I guess. I slept in. Reviewed here and there. Gave myself a break alongside a glass of wine. Whatever I did, it worked.
So now, I've passed five exams and there's just one more to go! I've already rescheduled PPD for the end of November. This time around, I think I have a better idea of what to study and where to focus my efforts. If you want to read my full PDD recap and recommended study materials, you can check it out on my blog. I’ve also recapped PjM, PA, and CE if you are working on a different exam (PcM coming soon).
Lastly, I just want to add, if you've failed PPD and/or PDD, don't be discouraged! These exams are difficult and the content is broad. It's hard to know what to study and if you're studying the right things. I'm looking at my PPD fail as a really expensive, but accurate, practice exam. Failing is not an indicator of who you are as a person (I had to remind myself of this time and time again). Failing makes the eventual pass that much better!
Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!
