I second all of this. I was thinking it was just my testing facility but I had the same thing

This happened to me at the test center and essentially locked my PC. I went out and asked the Prometric staff to take a look. They rebooted my machine but to no avail.  Long story short, I will be retaking the exam. If you encounter technical difficulties, immediately inform the proctor.

The pdf loading-lag is really annoying.  It just seems like NCARB has amateur programmers woirking for them, or else nobody really cares...because all their stuff feels "beta".  I recently took my first 5.0 division and the computer at Prometric crashed three times in ten minutes.  I finally told them I wanted a new machine, which they did. I noticed while they were rebooting that the machines were Windows 7!  Who uses windows 7 anymore?  Microsoft stopped supporting it like two years ago-and there's no anti-virus for it anymore!  What the heck?  Between NCARB and Prometric we are not getting a streamlined experience.  With what we pay, Prometric can't afford to upgrade their PCs to Win10 two years later???
