Demo Exam - Click on the element that is missing from the specifications
For the above question on the demo exam, are you supposed to click on the element in the elevation (the railing or curtain wall or whatever), or on the note that calls out the element?

Michael,
Its the element. And I'll offer you this: the ARE will be very specific with this. If they intend for you to click on the note, the question will absolutely say that. If the object, itll tell you. Point is - pay close attention to exactly what they ask you and you'll be fine. -
Not a problem. Best advice I can give you for all these tests: steer clear of thinking things like "maybe the label would qualify" as much as you possibly can. Ignore all instincts you have and instead just rely solely on the information given to you. That type of thinking will cause you to get questions wrong that you know the answers to and would normally have gotten right. For this specific question you asked about, if you find yourself thinking that way, say to yourself, "OK, it's possible that by "element" that the note could apply as well, but I'm 100% certain that if I click on the actual element it should be right." Go with the 100% certainty. Really, really read each question and make sure you know exactly what they tell you to do. I believe I did in fact get some questions where they said, "click on the note that is incorrect" vs. "click on the drawing." Do exactly as they say and you will not mess up! Just be careful and you should be fine! Best of luck.
