I was supposed to take my final ARE division (PPD) on Sunday. I arrived at the Prometric center at 8:20 for a 9 AM exam and found the door locked, and nobody answering the buzzer or the phone. I waited, with about 20 other candidates for various types of exams (no other ARE people) as our start time came and passed, with no word from Prometric, no email notification, no appearance of our testing site on their 'unexpected closures' page. Eventually, around 10, I and one other person managed to reach the manager of the building the Prometric Center was in, and were told that there had been an issue with their keycard reader and Prometric would be closed for the day.
I spoke to NCARB Customer service first thing Monday morning and was told I would hear within 3-5 business days. I'm trying so hard to be patient, but I'm still feeling very frustrated and agitated about the closure, the lack of notice, and the delay. It has totally thrown me off of my game. I have still received zero communication from Prometric, not even a formal notice that they didn't provide services on the day of my exam. Anyone have anything similar happen? Does anyone know how long these things take to get resolved?
