Allowable Area Table 506.2 Clarification
This is something I need to clarify before my exam on Monday. When finding the allowable area from Table 506.2, it is safe to assume that the number refers to an amount of area per story? Or do we always have to take that number and use one of the following calculations such as single-occupancy one-story, mixed-occupancy multi-story, etc. from the following sections (IBC 506.2.1-506.2.4)? And also, if we are not planning to use the frontage increase, do we still use those calculations in IBC 506.2.1-506.2.4 and if so, what would we use as the value for I (Increase due to frontage)?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Might be too late for your exam, but to answer the original question, for IBC 2015 the numbers in table 506.2 are factors that are plugged into the appropriate equation for your building. So they're per story (in a way). Once you plug them into the equations you get the total building area.
