Question: Continuous insulation under floor slab

    It is not from AGS 12th edition. I have the book and page 195 is “ Masonry Anchorage...” The vapor  retarder is on the pages 299, 434, 469... none of them has the recommendation from above.

    Hi Lilia, my book is the student edition. I'm not sure if that makes a difference? Nevertheless, it's still good to know that your book does not have that recommendation.

    coincidence, I just read that today on the subway in the student version of AGS, it says on page 55 or (75 of 560) page.

    I highlighted it hoping to understand it later. 

    so far as I understood - even if we insulate under the floor it will not provide too much warmth in a cold climate.

    insulated soffit could mean that one creates separation and insulates that space. (not shown)

    further .... they go back referring to the drawing on the same page from 2.104. Board insulation and Sprayed Insulation.
