    I'm curious.

If it hadn't been for all the studying you did with all the 3rd party materials, do you think you would have passed the test?

How much of your experience came into play to pass the test?

How much experience do you have beyond school?

No I wouldn't be able to pass without reading AHPP and contracts. 3rd Party materials will help with getting the tricky part of questions and paying more attention to what exactly the question is asking, helps to practice the subjects and time management.

I have total of 12 yrs of experience, 8 years in design and 4 years in Construction management and CA. My CM and CA experience helped me with CA questions like who is responsible and whats the procedure of doing that and how documents are produced and verified in CA phase and scenarios , since I deal with them at work, the experience really helped me. I hope I answered your question.

So, what did your college education provide you?  And what was the cost of that education?  One would think that if your degree cost somewhere in the $100,000 range that it would provide you with the knowledge to comparatively pass questions in the test.

I'd be very disappointed if I spent $100,000 on a degree that didn't prepare me to take the ARE.

Do you work in the U.S.?  Did you complete the AXP?

Yes I work in the U.S. and I have completed AXP years ago. For all professional certificates including RA and PE studying is required.

    Hi Yasmin,

When you were studying the AHPP, did you study "Backgrounder" as well (the blue pages after each section in AHPP)?

Yes I did, I suggest you read them too, if they are examples just learn the idea, if its teaching critical concepts like financial formulas read them and understand them very carefully. Some of them are marked as important in Wiley's list

Thank you for your response. I have another question, Did you memories the AIA documnets title? for example AIA A232 General conditions of the contact for construction or B103 owner-Architect agreement for a complex project?
