Black Spectacles has entire practice tests that closely mimic the format of the ARE. The questions are at times hard and at times easy, so you might not get the result you are looking for, but it is a useful way of familiarizing yourself with the format.

For PPD case studies, I would recommend going through a Schematic Design package from your firm, look at the various engineering packages that go out at that point, see how they integrate with the rest of the building. You should look at a Design Development package too, but I think the narrative style of the SD book might be more useful for PPD, though some may disagree. It also depends on how detailed your firm gets with those types of packages.

I'm not sure how to get to these through the NCARB website menus but the old 4.0 Exam multiple choice practice questions are online (about 30-50 per test, way more than they have put together for 5.0) They don't fall exactly into the 5.0 categories, but since there is so much exam overlap I have found them very useful and they're NCARB questions so give you a good idea of the information you are expected to know.

Copy this into your web browser or just google BS exam guide -  https://www.ncarb.org/sites/default/files/BS_Exam_Guide.pdf The other ones are BDCS, CDS, PPP, SS, SPD I think.
