This will be annoying, but ADA clearances are an item on the exam where memorization helps.  Check out the diagrams on page 121 of the ADA standards:

    https://www.ada.gov/regs2010/2010ADAStandards/2010ADAStandards.pdf

This shows that with a latch and closer (and front approach) you need 18" on the pull side and 12" on the push side clear as well as the other clearances.  You may not need to memorize this, but familiarizing yourself with these diagrams is immensely helpful.

Thank you, but my question was "why" a latch and closer affects door clearance? It will help me familiarize myself with these diagrams. thank you!

Got it!  Each of these items require additional effort or motion to activate the door.  Clearances on the handle side are increased, because a user might have to use their offhand side and move over.  A person in a wheelchair may need a rolling start to push a door with a closer.  There are probably a number of other factors that I'm not familiar with that come into play, but those are examples I've seen.

    thank you! I really appreciate.

Arre IBC 2015 and 2010 ada standards always available during exam? or should I go to case study section and look it up back and forth back and forth when you do multiple choices? Im pretty sure IBC will be there but Im not sure about ada.....

Neither of these references is available except in the case studies and you may not get Chapter 11 of IBC in the case studies (or ADA).  That's why I recommend (nearly) memorizing this.  I realize that this is not how they tell us to study for the exams, but it's one area where you can't count on having the answer at your side.
