schedule vs spec

Absolutely in the drawings.  I have personally never seen a door schedule in the spec book.  Now, I HAVE seen the door hardware schedule in a spec book quite often.

I don't think it really matters one way or another, and I don't think you'd ever get a question on the ARE to the tune of "should a door schedule be in the drawings or specs?"  But, to answer your question I say drawings.

Many architectural schedules live within the construction drawings, though David is right that in certain cases like door hardware, the schedule would live in the specs. This is because HW schedules list many kinds of brand or manufacturer names, which do not normally live within the drawings themselves. Firms have different ways of working, but I find that drawings generally should not list brand or manufacturer names.
