I've been running through some P&A practice problems and a problem I have faced is bothering me. It states, "If space is limited, what is the best parking layout?" To which I've always thought angled parking was more efficient space-wise. But the question answer says 90 degree prkg, spaces on both sides of the drive. I understand everything but the 90 degree part. I've been thinking that underground prkg. lots always have 90 degree, so it must be true space-wise, but why do I feel I've been told angled is more efficient? Worse when I googled it, this belief was reinforced by multiple sites. Any comment on the matter?
