    Angled parking is definitely more efficient in terms of speed, but 90 degree parking is more efficient spacewise.  This is addressed in the Site Planning and Design Handbook, but it's easiest to understand with the diagrams.

    Ariel,

    Ballast's ARE 5.0 reading on parking (chapter 12) also states that 90 degree parking is the most efficient use of area.

    Also, in 90 degree parking, you should try to incorporate parking along the perimeter in lieu of just having circulation.

    Luckily, I don't remember a question of this nature showing up on my exam. I'm sure there are a few, hopefully they just stick to the ballast book answer...
